The average soundbite of President Bush and Senator Kerry in the 2004 presidential election: 7.8 seconds, the same as in 2000, down from 9.8 seconds (the "ten second soundbite") in 1988.

When Kerry and Edwards spoke... It felt like an eternity!... Is it just me or do you think Edwards had just a little too much admiration for Kerry?
I just don't trust those guys!...

What I find disturbing is that the trend looks like it's decelerating and won't be going to zero anytime soon - I was really hoping to see that by the next election....
