3 of the 5 are in Texas. More hints to come, if that's what it takes. Posted by Will Franklin · 29 June 2005 11:37 PM CommentsWell, #2 is the UN Building in NYC. I'll work on the others later, but they don't pop to mind right away. #3 could be the UT football stadium and campus, but I'm not sure. Posted by: Giacomo at June 30, 2005 09:09 AM You got #2 absolutely correct. #3, not quite. Posted by: Will Franklin at June 30, 2005 09:33 AM #3 is Fair Park in Dallas, including the Cotton Bowl. Posted by: Brandon at June 30, 2005 10:31 AM 1. t.u. Tower, Austin Posted by: bob at June 30, 2005 10:36 AM Correct. So, here's what we have so far-- #1: HINT: Oh, come on. This one is easy. #2: United Nations, New York City. #3: Cotton Bowl, Fair Park, Dallas, Texas. #4: HINT: George W. Bush and I both attended this junior high school. #5: HINT: It was built by Saddam Hussein. Posted by: Will Franklin at June 30, 2005 10:39 AM Oh, wow, bob beat me to the punch. But t.u. is Tulane or Tulsa or Temple. #1: The University of Texas Tower. #2: UN #3: Cotton Bowl #4: San Jacinto Junior High (how did you get that one?) #5: Close, but no cigar just yet. Posted by: Will Franklin at June 30, 2005 10:42 AM #5 is the Monument to the Unknown Soldier. Posted by: Fred at June 30, 2005 11:10 AM Got it. Good job. I am still surprised anyone got #4. Posted by: Will Franklin at June 30, 2005 11:19 AM I live down the street form SJ. It doesn't look quite like this now, a major renovation and addition is underway, all that green grass is torn up and covered with maybe 20+ temporary classrooms. Posted by: bob at June 30, 2005 11:41 AM Thanks WILLisms for this link...I have used some other satellite imaging tools, like TerraServer, but these pictures are very clear and sharp. Posted by: Responsible oilman at June 30, 2005 07:33 PM Bob, I used to live on Douglas. That is just down the street from SJJH!... Posted by: Zsa Zsa at June 30, 2005 09:07 PM no, t.u. He got it correct. :) Gig 'Em :) Posted by: Peter at July 1, 2005 12:15 AM U.T. University of Texas, not T.U. Posted by: bill at July 1, 2005 09:53 PM No. 5 is the white elephant of a stadium in Montreal, non? Posted by: jb at July 29, 2005 09:16 AM |
