« The Tragedy Of Germany. | WILLisms.com | RITA Traffic Jam: It's Amazing How Little We Drove Today. » RITA: Well, Dang.4:38 in the morning on Thursday, and, well, dang. ![]() The hurricane now seems to be peeling directly toward Galveston. Just a continued shift to the East. So our so-stupid-it-is-ingenious contra-flow-to-Louisiana plan is looking a little less ingenious. At least our escape route on I-10 looks clear (green is good): ![]() So we're going to leave our 77006 zip code in the 5 AM zone... before the 6 AM we had planned before. This is a monster. To the people trying to ride this thing out, please be prepared. And take every precaution. Posted by Will Franklin · 22 September 2005 04:38 AM CommentsBe safe my friend. Our prayers are going out to you and everyone else around there. Posted by: WunderKraut at September 22, 2005 06:26 AM We are going to stay and "hunker down" afterall... The traffic was too much and gasoline was out every place we passed so we decided to turn around! The worst that could happen is we could die... If we do it was fun while it lasted! I love everyone in my blogland circle! Hopefully our prayers and faith in God will keep us safe!... If they open up the other side of I10 we will go on to Ruidoso New Mexico! Love To All! Be Careful and God Bless you sooooooo Much! Posted by: Zsa Zsa at September 22, 2005 07:21 AM Godspeed Posted by: I. Ronnie at September 22, 2005 08:09 AM You can say that again!... Thanks! Posted by: Zsa Zsa at September 22, 2005 10:09 AM Will, I hope you both are safe!... Be real careful! I love you two bratty kids! God Bless you and call if you want? We are home! The circuits might be busy so if you can't get in touch we are cool! Hoodlumman is so sweet to us!... I love You all... Be safe! Posted by: Zsa Zsa at September 22, 2005 10:26 AM Hey Will!... We just used your BIG BUSH sign to hopefully protect the window in the kitchen! I sure hope the architectual commity of our homeowners association won't mind?... They have been harrassing some of the neighbors lately!... Posted by: Zsa Zsa at September 22, 2005 11:15 AM Stay safe and good luck. I hope the people of Baton Rouge treat you as well as the people of Texas treated me when we evacuated for Katrina. Posted by: Kevin at September 22, 2005 01:19 PM |
