An Honor Just To Be Nominated.

WILLisms.com has been named as a finalist in the 2005 Weblog Awards. Sure, it's not the most glamorous category (Top 501-1000 Blogs), but it's nice to get a little recognition.

Voting begins on December 5 and ends on the 15th, and apparently you can vote once every 24 hours.

The 2005 Weblog Awards website can be found here. Go check it out.

Way to go Will!!

I looked at the other nominees, and the competition looks pretty tough actually, but, WILLisms.com definitely has a shot at it!

Willisms.com has my vote! ...And I am not just being partial... I know alot of others who would agree with me. CONGRATULATIONS! Great work!

Congratulations, Will. I saw your list - it's a "Who's who" in your classification.

Go get 'em.

My guess is that the only reason you weren't picked for Best Blog or Best New Blog is because you've guest-blogged on Wizbang in the past. It might have looked fishy if Kevin then named you a finalist in one of those categories.

Or Best Conservative Blog, I should say.

Posted by: Gaijin Biker at December 4, 2005 10:29 PM

That's quite a compliment, Gaijin. Thank you.

Right back at ya, man. May the best blog win.

You've got (at least) two steady votes from File it Under. It's well-deserved regardless of what category you were nominated in.

Posted by: Hoodlumman at December 5, 2005 08:20 AM

I would love to be able to vote!...BUT there seems to be no voting box???

Posted by: Zsa Zsa at December 5, 2005 09:14 AM

They are slowly rolling out the "VOTE!" links at the top of each category's post. So far, they've only got the first 5 or 6; they should have this category (Top 501-1000) by later today.

Thanks Jeff H.

Whew--Everybody in the Business group, in which I'm a nominee, should be relieved that you didn't get nominated in that category. If you were, by all rights you'd clean our clocks.

Good luck in the contest.

Sincerely I'm honored to be nominated in the same catagory as you. Good luck to you. (Im happy to have the new finalist logo for the sidebar.) You do a great job here and deserve all the recognition you get and lots more that you dont. But hey, thats blogging.
