« Quotational Therapy: Part 63 -- Bush On Victory In Iraq. | WILLisms.com | Trivia Tidbit Of The Day: Part 234 -- Wal-Mart. » Good News GOPNearly half of all Americans now believe we are winning the war in Iraq, up from 39% just a month ago, according to Rasmussen Reports. The price of gas has dropped precipitously since September, as you can see: ![]() Consumer confidence is lifting, according to the latest CCI figures for November published by The Conference Board. Will has already written about the phalanx of good economic news for the thriving U.S. economy. I am just thinkin', this kinda stuff just can't be good for the Dems in '06 . . . Posted by Ken McCracken · 2 December 2005 08:52 PM Comments11 months is an eternity in politics. Democrats' numbers are incredibly low-- lower than the Congress as a whole, and lower than the GOP members of Congress. Bush is regaining some of that conservative base support he lost earlier this year with the Miers pick. Eventually it will set in with the folks that the economy is flourishing. Bush finally seems to be saying the right things on immigration. That'll set in with the folks. Iraq is less of a losing issue to the GOP than the superficial polls would indicate (people want to win and don't believe that the Democrats want us to win). If the GOP were a stock, two weeks ago or so would have been a great time to buy. Posted by: Will Franklin at December 2, 2005 10:32 PM Just thought I'd give you a heads-up. Your link to the 'thriving US Economy' is broken. BTW, thanks for all your coverage of the Economy. Your analysis is great, and its hard to get elsewhere if at all. The President needs to start talking about this now, and pushing it hard. Posted by: Regis at December 3, 2005 01:17 PM |
