Many on the right predicted this sort of argument in the wake of the latest bin Laden tape.

Sorry, you do not get a Blogging Bronze Star for predicting this, it was utterly inevitable.

I agree with one point though, we need to find out what terms Osama is offering. Why? All the better to find him and kill him, that's why.

Bin Laden is in no more of a position to offer a truce than the Palestian Authority is.

You give a whiny kid candy, they'll continue to be whiny kids. You give into the terms of terrorists, they'll continue to kill innocent people. Anyone who would suggest a truce with these killers needs to look at the news footage from the days following 9/11/01.

Terrorists, by definition, do not adhere to the rules of war. Only the biggest morons of our time would think that these same people would honor a truce of any type.

I can't imagine Osama or Zawi would be very good at setting terms for a truce! ... And I certainly can't see Osama and GW shaking hands and signing any type of peace treaty! At least not anytime soon...

Ms. Gabor, certainly you must be joking. No president would ever sign a peace treaty much less shake the hand of a mass murderer. That is preposterous.
