Kos Gets Even Uglier
Wasn't Kos supposedly going more mainstream?
It seems to have become a repository of anti-semitic propaganda instead:
The only things missing here are the Stars of David and the hook noses.
Yeah, I know this is a Kos diarist and not Kos himself. But that is his name at the top, is it not? Let's see if this gets pulled down or not.
In case you weren't aware of the background here, Yale University declined to hire mideast expert Juan Cole away from the University of Michigan. Joel Mowbray has a thorough article on the controversial Cole, outlining many of the reasons why he wasn't hired. One of the funny Cole incidents of late was when he accused Christopher Hitchens of being drunk while writing this article. Andrew Sullivan was with Hitchens when he filed the article (stone-cold sober, according to Sullivan) and gave Cole a nice smackdown. A blog classic.
As for Kos, good luck putting lipstick on this pig.

Ken, I never have understood why the international left is so pro-palestinian, which leads them to be remarkably pro-arab, viv-a-vis the state of Israel.

They side with anyone who hates the US - it isn't much more complicated than that.

hitchens is by all accounts a drunk of highly red faced variety. helena cobham has a sad account at www.justworldnews.org
and we're pro palestinian because because
a) they have lived there since before "the epic of gilgamesh" or whatever the first book was.
b) the often russian and non semetic secular europeans who live there now are benifiting from a UN sponsered Crusade which has been endangering our national security since Sirhan Sirhan and has been perverted from the simple "home for jews" to become an empire.
