Say Goodbye To Jadegold

For crimes against intelligence, common sense, and for aggravated tediousness, Jadegold is hereby banned forthwith from WILLisms.com!

Although our favorite visitor from Planet Moonbat holds a place dear in our hearts, really this is for his own good. I am deeply flattered that he recognized WILLisms.com as the target most worthy of his tireless efforts - bordering on the obsessive - in his one-man campaign against all things Republican.

Of all the sites out there, he picked us, and that says a lot.

But allowing him to stay here would only hasten his descent into madness. He is no doubt old, lonely and friendless, and WILLisms.com unfortunately for him provided the excuse he needs to Google instead of mingling with real human beings.

So, farewell Jadegold, and find a new hobby, okay?

Well I don't feel great about doing it, but knowing that Rob previously banned him does make me feel better.

Rob really does have an open commenting policy at Say Anything, so if he found Jadegold's schtick to be too much, at least I know I am in good company.

Good,

I really avoided commenting on any posting that Jadegold put up continuous or every other comment.

Very early on, I realized that Jadegold was not a challenge to intelligence, but a challenge to parental discipline, a challenge of enduring left-wing lunacy, and a challenge psychiatry.

I regret (or maybe should feel lucky) that I only caught the latter part of Jadegold's tenure here at willisms.

Oh, well, there are plenty of lefties to contend with over at Blogsforbush, which has been kind of a "gateway" blog, leading me to willisms and many others.

It is a salutary lesson to us all. Jadegold is quite bright, clearly reads a great deal, and has a good vocabulary. But does not listen, cannot endure criticism without becoming angry and insulting, and is so brittle about not giving an inch and preparing the wittiest sneer, that he actually hurts his causes and is ultimately unpersuasive. The same could happen to any of us if we lose our bearings and focus on the argument instead of hashing out the truth.

Reading through the links provided by Say Anything, perhaps I was too kind to jadegold. I hadn't realised that he was so notorious. I had thought of him as a sincere but hopelessly misguided partisan whose personality quirks made him unattractive, or even pitiable. Seeing the lengthy track record of having been banned suggests that he is aware that he is unpersuasive, but is yet unable to change his spots.
