« Trivia Tidbit of the Day: Part 736 -- Texas State Spending Among Lowest. | WILLisms.com | Trivia Tidbit of the Day: Part 738 -- Obama's Budget "Freeze" » Trivia Tidbit of the Day: Part 737 -- Texas Has One-Fourth Of America's Fastest Growing Companies.8% Of The Population, 25% Of The Fastest Growing Companies- Another cool visual from the BillShrink blog: ![]() Go check out the BillShrink blog to see the full size graphic. No state is immune to the economic realities out there right now, and Texas is no exception. Even the energy industry has been shaky over the past couple of years. But Texas remains the leading economy in the nation, precisely because it has kept taxes relatively low, budgets balanced, and government spending in check. Texas cannot afford to bring in the second biggest "porker" in Washington, D.C. and make her our Governor: Texas can't afford Kay Bailey Hutchison's big spending ways. We have thrived, relatively speaking, in large part because the burden of government is low in Texas. We reject "free" money with mandates and strings attached from the Federal Government, routinely. We cut our state budget when necessary-- Texas has zero deficits and one of the very lowest levels of debt in the country. A country can't tax, spend, and borrow its way to prosperity. Previous Trivia Tidbit: Texas Government Spending Under Control. Disclosure: I work for Rick Perry. As always, thoughts expressed on WILLisms.com are my personal thoughts. Support Governor Rick Perry. Make your endorsement official here. Posted by Will Franklin · 2 February 2010 03:35 PM CommentsRick Perry is awesome! He is a great Governor and we don't need a Pork Queen running Texas. Posted by: ZsaZsa at February 2, 2010 05:34 PM Go Governor Perry, he is way up in the polls, KBH is tanking fast! Posted by: Jesse at February 3, 2010 09:02 AM I enjoyed the article and thanks because of posting such valuable tidings repair perquisites of all of us to be in the know, I transpire it both beneficial and revelatory and I loutish sketch to credit to it as over as I can. Posted by: ray ban store at February 3, 2010 07:20 PM I agree. KBH would be a disaster for TX. Which is why I want to see Gov. Perry beat her. At the same time, I want to see him move toward my positions, as voiced by Debra Medina. I appreciate the Gov and will support him if he wins the primary but for now I have to go with Medina to make sure he gets the news. I did enjoy the PJTV video of him at the shooting range with Roger Simon and Andrew Breitbart! PO'd about toll roads, cameras and trans-tx. Brother Perry needs to feel the heat to see the light! Posted by: txjim at February 4, 2010 06:31 PM I guess I should should mention that if the race gets tight I will support Medina. Heat > Light! Posted by: txjim at February 4, 2010 06:35 PM Medina has some very anti-conservative, as well as anti-libertarian views. To me, she is more of a nativist, populist Republican-In-Name-Only style agitator than a true conservative. Posted by: Will Franklin at February 4, 2010 07:09 PM Will - I am intrigued. Can you link a page or two that supports what you said here? Where can I find an example that shows Medina is a RINO or anti-libertarian? I'm open minded on this because I like the Gov but I'm serious that he needs to get religion on the tea party stuff. After the poll news of yesterday, I am taking a closer look at a two face race, where neither of the faces belong to KBH. OT I know but - I think the KBH ads have done more to hurt RP than anything else. But when I hear them all I can think is where was she raising a stink BEFORE "a senior aide to RP" was lobbying for toll roads or rest stops. I drive down the service road from McKinney to Plano every day and everyday I smile because that Spanish company that has the 50 year lease is not making a dime off me. If I ever get confirmation of the Texans that sold deal I promise I will make them my new internet hobby. Did you have anything to do with the toll roads or rest stop deals? Posted by: txjim at February 10, 2010 06:19 PM Well, other than the truther thing, Medina is just not solid on the issues. I don't even really give her the time of day after this 9/11 truther revelation. Look into her views. Posted by: Will Franklin at February 13, 2010 09:35 PM |
