Sunday Heidi Weimaraner Update: 4+ Years Old.

It has been nearly 3 years since the last photo update on Heidi, the Weimaraner. It's been even longer since the very first update. She's 4 and a half years old now.

These were shot at Auditorium Shores in Austin, just South of downtown and the Colorado River (also known as Town Lake at this spot):

Her favorite thing is catching the frisbee at the park:

It is really hot, really clear, and really blue outside today in Austin, Texas:

At four and a half years old, she still needs a lot of exercise, but a bit less so on these 100-degree summer days:

I still get a lot of people asking what kind of dog she is. A greyhound? A gray lab? Etc. etc.

She's still a Weimaraner.

Incidentally, all of the pictures were snapped with a Nikon D90.

Previous update.

I don't comment much at your site like I used to do. But I still come by every day.
Still enjoy the posts and the information you provide.
Heidi is worth a comment, "Damn good dog."
Keep up the good work.

EB, How are you? Heidi is my granddaughter! Isn't she wonderful? Thanks for showing Heidi, Will! :)) Yay!!!

We have Heidi to thank for our monstrosity that is Nickel. The pictures of Heidi as a puppy were so awesome that we ended up getting Nickel almost two years ago over Christmas. He just turned two.

Beautiful dogs. Ours is not too high strung and thinks he is a lap dog. 100 lbs. Kinda fat. And protective as hell.

I gave my wife a bear hug from behind one day just joking around and the SOB tried to bite me. My brother and cousin were wrestling and my brother was winning and the damned dog did bite him. Not hard, just enough to say knock it off.

I miss the Heidi updates.

I am great, hope you are the same.
Still have my Lab(Queen Cleo), Retriever mix(Ellie Mae), and puggie puppy(Hercules).
I retired early about a year ago. The computer business has been good to me. Just wanted to do some other things.
I have a college degree, but I am going back to school(Community College and Technical College) for courses(History, Residential Electrical Wiring, etc); courses that I am interested in taking.
Last month, I took a course to get my "gunslinger permit"(Concealed Weapons Permit) in case things get nutsy out there. Should be getting the permit any time now in the mail.
I have been working with the Republican Party and the Campaign of Republican Mick Mulvaney. Politics in SC, as you know, has been in the news lately. Good or bad, it is what it is. Uninteresting, it ain't for this election cycle. Nikki Haley, an Indian-American will be the next governor. There will be a black Republican elected in the First Congressional down around Charleston. Tim Scott defeated the grandson of Strom Thurmond and the son of Carroll Campbell in the Republican primary. He is a shoo-in for the General Election.
I have been doing a lot of leg work in the Mulvaney campaign. He is trying to unseat a thirty year incumbent, John Spratt(D-SC5). Spratt is the chairman of the budget committee and has lost a lot of support with conservative democrats with his support for the Obama agenda.
The polls in the race are dead even, with Mulvaney made up a 10-12 points deficit within a month of announcing. We are working hard to get him in there. People have quickly grown weary of Obama, the Democrats, Healthcare, the mess of the economy, and where we are headed.
I will stay busy with politics till November, after that, I will stay busy just trying to stay busy.
Let me know how you are doing.
